Brainspotting is a brain-based therapy based on the hypothesis that specific eye positions designated as “brainspots” activate and access specific areas of the midbrain that allow for the reprocessing and releasing of core neurophysiological reactions to trauma-related and other psychological experiences.Review of BSP principles
This training will introduce the types, reactions, and neurophysiology of grief, explore how Brainspotting supports the companioning process of grief, learn and utilize 3 new Brainspotting techniques to support client’s journey, differentiate between Grief and MDD, explore cultural aspects of grief to ensure culture competency in clinical settings, discuss special populations and overlooked forms of grief, and discuss integrative Brainspotting interventions with groups and other clinical modalities supporting grief.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: We understand that situations arise. If you need to cancel, please contact us at keisha@thegatheringplacewcc.org. Please be sure that you are able to be present (on camera for virtual trainings) for all three days of the training. All cancellations must be received 14 days prior to the first day of training, and will be fully refunded less the 4% transaction fee. An additional $50 will be deducted from your refund if materials have already been sent before cancellation. After that, we will provide you with a full credit toward a replacement course, valid for one (1) year. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AS A RESULT OF PARTIAL ATTENDANCE. Keisha is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor certified in Brainspotting, Trauma Focused CBT, and as a Grief Informed Professional. Keisha is in private practice in North Carolina where she specializes in helping others navigate grief, trauma, and transitional issues on life’s journey.
Keisha provides individual consultation for Brainspotting Certification and co-facilitates a group consultation, Brainspotting in My Office, supporting clinicians in increasing confidence and competence.
She believes everyone innately has in them what they need to heal. As a result, she has a passion for working with other clinicians across a spectrum of specialties in learning to support clients on their healing journey. In addition to be certified in BSP, Keisha is trained IFS, SE, and EFT.
